First time using a welding blanket on an overnight smoke tonight. I've got a 6'x8' welding blanket and had folded in half (4' tall) and wrapped around my 18.5" WSM. I then readjusted the blanket to pretty much a bit above the lid lip. The blanket has a °F melt temp. Worried it was too covered up. I have no experience with this and just need my fears put to rest that this thing won't catch on fire tonight. The blanket does touch the smoker a bit in some parts. What do y'all experts say? I've got my maverick set to alarm me should it go above 275°. Thanks for the help.
I don't use flickr, so I don't really know if it gives you an image address to copy. However, I did poke around and get:
The code is https://farm6.staticflickr.com//_c8a0c6b6fb_h.jpg[\img] the backslash \ should be replaced with the forward slash /
I believe that you can also quote this to see what I put in.

Welding is risky work. So workers require welding equipment for safety. Welding blanket also is used in welding safety to protect industry workers and equipment from welding sparks, heat and molten metal. Tell me where get the welding blankets?

The OP is in India
We have a pile of 0.8m x 1.5m leather calf "skins" for covering windscreens and the like when grinding and welding. Leather stays put on car windscreens - fibreglass ones - 1.0m x 2.0m slide off just went you don't want them to...
They may prefer a more synthetic approach in some parts of India - cows are sacred in certain religions - not sure which religion - I am not that worldly wise...
Edit: (Hinduism, Jainism, Zoroastrianism - just googled it. They are lots of Hindus in India according to Google...)

Cowes, cows? Are generally revered as sacred animals in India. In my experience.
Maybe goat skins? Cheap alternative, admittedly I don't know the price of goat skin.
Fire blankets, as he said ^^.

There are many authorised companies that provide fire safety and welding blankets. RNG is one such company. They sell a vast range of industry-related safety gear such as aluminized aprons, high silica fabrics, fire blankets, high-temperature gloves and welding blanket. You can visit their website to gain more information.
