Skin irritation test, as an important means of evaluating the safety of cell factory materials, plays a crucial role. This test evaluates the potential of a material to produce a skin irritation reaction by simulating skin contact under experimental conditions, thus ensuring the safe use of the material. In accordance with international and national standards such as ISO 10993-10-2010 and GB/T 16886/10-2017, the skin irritation test uses an animal intradermal irritation test, in which the reaction of the skin of rabbits is observed through intradermal injection of an extract.

In the test, we leach the samples from the cell factory in a specific solvent, and then inject the leachate into the skin of rabbits.After a certain period of time, we can clearly see the skin reactions such as erythema and oedema, so that we can determine whether the material contains any risk of causing skin irritation reactions.


The skin irritation test of the cell factory is not only a strict control of product quality, but also a responsibility to researchers and experimental animals.
